Students from UVA’s Elementary, Junior, and Senior Beta Club traveled to Orlando, Florida, to attend their divisions’ respective National Beta Conventions. They competed in various academic and creative challenges and networked with schools from across the country. The following students placed in competitions:
High School:
- Abdullah Siddiqui, Anya Chaney-Martinez, Ethan Reed: 3rd place Convention Invention
- Analicia Galvan: 10th place Onsite Painting Division II
- Anya Chaney-Martinez: 9th place Quilling, 6th place Language Arts, 7th place Division II Speech
- Dylan Jacob: $1,000 Beta scholarship
- Emma Sterba: 7th place Digital Art Division II
- Mabry Spinks: 6th place Performing Arts and participation in the opening and closing ceremonies
Middle School:
- Zander Smith: 8th place Sixth Grade Social Studies
Elementary School:
- Kaiyah Magee: 8th place Spelling
- Oni Price: 9th place Create and Animate
