On Friday, September 18, over 1,700 members of the University View Academy (UVA) community traveled to the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales for UVA’s final open house of the school year. As a virtual school, UVA’s two open houses are unique in-person opportunities for students. Returning families can catch up with old friends and explore their new classes, teachers, and programs. New families can ask questions of UVA leadership and administrators while meeting teachers and peers.
UVA teachers prioritize connecting with each individual student. Grouped by grade level and subjects, teams often decorate their tables with fun themes, props, and prizes and set up games for families to enjoy. Open house also offers a gathering space to host activities such as esports competitions and the Scholastic Book Fair.
UVA holds several in-person events around the state throughout the year. Don’t miss your chance to join what’s happening soon near you! Check out our events calendar here.
