University View Academy (UVA) honors staff members from each school level as Employees of Distinction each quarter. This recognition is given to exceptional staff members who demonstrate team spirit, initiative, and servant leadership. Check out what their colleagues had to say about the honorees for spring.

Elementary School – Brittney Brumfield (Math)
“Brittney Brumfield is being recognized for her outstanding leadership, collaboration and unwavering support of both colleagues and students in mathematics. Brittney consistently serves as a steady guide for her team, ensuring instructional expectations are clear and supported.
Colleagues shared appreciation for her reliability and expertise, noting that she was ‘a tremendous guide through making sure I had two weeks posted,’ highlighting her commitment to helping others stay organized, prepared and confident in their instruction. Her impact is also deeply felt in weekly collaboration and planning. Team members expressed gratitude for Brittney’s presence as a true teammate who consistently shows up, supports shared planning and contributes to the development of strong instructional resources. She is recognized for stepping in whenever needed and strengthening lesson design through intentional planning, thoughtful input and collaboration focused on student achievement.
Alongside her colleagues in 5th grade math, Brittney is celebrated for her instructional strengths and innovation; especially in leveraging tools like Desmos to enrich student learning.
