Strengthening K-12 Literacy with Interactive Learning
University View Academy (UVA) hosted its annual Literacy Day event on Thursday, March 5, at the UVA Conference Center.
Teachers dressed up as their favorite book characters and prepared enjoyable read-aloud activities, storytelling stations, and vocabulary games for their students. Some students attended in person while others participated virtually.
Literacy Day is held in conjunction with Read Across America Week, a national literacy initiative. UVA prioritizes literacy at the early reading level. Today’s readers are tomorrow’s leaders.
