The University View Academy (UVA) community is going “All In” this school year. School staff and educators recently joined together at the Price LeBlanc PACE Center in Gonzales to kick off the 2025-26 school year at the annual staff convocation. The theme for the school year is “All In: Every Student, Every Play, Every Day.”
The room buzzed with excited conversation as staff members reconnected with colleagues after the summer break. To kick off the day, each school level and department participated in a spirited line dance competition. Elementary school won the coveted spirit stick for the second year in a row.
The keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Jenna Chiasson, Deputy Superintendent of Teaching and Learning at the Louisiana Department of Education. Dr. Chiasson provided an overview of Louisiana’s recent educational gains and praised UVA’s commitment to innovation and student-centered learning. Staff members spent the remainder of the day receiving important updates from school leadership that will advance our academic priorities.
The 2025-26 school year will see new learning opportunities for students and a fresh commitment from staff to review, revise, and grow. UVA welcomed both new and returning students on Thursday, August 7. Let’s go “All In” together.
