The University View Running Club participated in their inaugural 5k on Saturday, May 5th at the Active for Autism Race in Baton Rouge.

The Active for Autism 5K Run/Walk & Fun Fest promotes awareness, acceptance, and inclusion of those affected by autism. This event provides community education while generating partnerships with families and organizations across the Greater Baton Rouge eight-parish area.

Proceeds from the event supported Families Helping Families of Greater Baton Rouge’s program–Resource Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder (RCASD).

All participants had a good time for a great cause and Eighth Grader David Matherne placed 2nd in his age division!
