The University View Academy Class of 2025 will feature 355 graduates earning their diploma on Saturday, May 24. The group of 355 comes from all corners of the state of Louisiana. Some have attended UVA since kindergarten, while others have joined the school at different parts of their educational journey. As their time at UVA comes to a close, we take pride in knowing they are future-ready to take on whatever path they choose.

Elison Hebert

Next Stop: Seminary

Fun Facts: Elison is an active member of Beta Club and has won several awards in the Technology category. He is also a member of the Lynx Esports team and recently presented a project at the National STEM Festival in Washington, D.C. He and his teammates used Minecraft to research real-life agricultural issues and shared their simulation.

Peyton Bell

Next Stop: LSU, Ogden Honors College as a pre-med biological engineering major

Fun Facts: Peyton has been enrolled at UVA since 2nd grade. She enjoys crocheting and won the Fiber Arts category at the Louisiana Beta Convention in tenth grade. She is also enrolled in UVA’s Early College Program and will graduate with an associate degree from Northwestern State University.

“UVA has allowed me to pave my own path and develop an academic identity that’s entirely my own,” Peyton said. “I have been able to pursue my passions and interests like my Etsy store, working part time, and volunteering while scheduling my coursework around it. Dual enrollment at UVA was one of the best decisions I ever made. I am now graduating with 60 credit hours of college courses, and I feel completely prepared for my bachelor’s degree. UVA has equipped me with the skills I will need to succeed in college, medical school, and the rest of my life. I am immensely grateful to all the teachers and faculty who have helped get me to where I am today.”

Natalie Paul

Next Stop: College to major in nursing
Quote: “If God doesn’t do it, it won’t get done.”
Fun Facts: Natalie is chair of the student advisory panel, a body of students that dialogues with district leadership. She is also involved in Beta Club and National Honor Society. She loves traveling, singing, and collecting vinyls.

“UVA has provided me a sense of security with my education,” Natalie said. “If I were to have attended a brick and mortar school, there’s no way I would be the student I am today.”

Hanna Deblanc

Next Stop: Louisiana Tech University
Fun Facts: Hanna has two pet bunnies, Griffy and Gracie, that she loves spending time with. She plans on pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering at LA Tech. She came to UVA as a sophomore in 2023 and is graduating a year early. Her favorite teacher at UVA was Ms. Dawn Collins, and her favorite class was DE Algebra III. Art is Hanna’s favorite pastime.

“UVA is so personalized and accommodating,” Hanna said. “The teachers here won’t hesitate to help and reach out when you’re having a hard time, and that’s the key to a student’s success.

“My experience at UVA was amazing. UVA allowed me to have time for the things I love while also giving me the opportunity to graduate high school early.”

Diego Santana

Next Stop: Industry-based certification program
Fun Facts: Diego began attending UVA in 8th grade and his favorite memory was an esports/STEM group to Washington, D.C., earlier this spring. He is certified in multiple Adobe applications and loves working in the Adobe Premiere (video editing) application

Diego interned with the MIS Technology Group in Zachary this spring. From booting computers to taking apart computers, Diego feels prepared to enter the tech world after this internship through the Early College & Career Academy.

“Throughout my time at UVA, the teachers and counselors always listened to my questions and concerns,” Diego said. “I expressed a want in the fall of 2024 to explore an internship in the tech world. So, in the span of a couple of months, UVA was able to set me up with an internship with the MIS Technology Group, and I’ve learned numerous lessons that will only help me continue doing what I love.”

Debranna Ellis

Next Stop: Entering the workforce
Fun Facts: Debranna graduated from South Louisiana Community College on May 15 with an Associate of Science in Business. She was able to accomplish this milestone by taking advantage of UVA’s Early College & Career Academy program. Debranna enjoys writing and dancing.

“My experience at UVA was the best,” Debranna noted. “All the things I experienced while at UVA helped me get to where I’m at today, and I feel so accomplished.”
