Faculty and staff from University View Academy (UVA) traveled to the Alexandria Convention Hall on Friday, August 22, to meet students and families at UVA’s open house hosted each fall for students in north and central Louisiana. As a virtual school, UVA’s open house is a special time for students to meet and interact with teachers and peers.
Teachers and staff went “all in” to maximize the time with the 434 individuals in attendance, the largest attended open house to date in north Louisiana. UVA teachers, grouped by grade level, often dress up according to themes such as sports, safari, luau, and more. Families in attendance could explore UVA’s various classes and programs, the Scholastic Book Fair, and the engaging activities teachers and staff set up at their tables. Attendees could relax at the esports station, enjoy games and dancing at the street party outside, and then beat the heat with a tasty snowball.
UVA hosts two open house events each fall. Don’t miss the opportunity to attend the final 2025 open house in Gonzales on Friday, September 5.
