Mindy Rose
Congratulations to University View Academy teacher Mindy Rose on being honored by the Distributive Education Clubs of America! She was selected as the Associate Chapter Advisor of the Year. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the world. There are 3,775 high school chapters. Mindy says, “Being chosen as a DECA Associate Chapter Advisor of the Year is an honor. I have been an Advisor for so many years now never thinking that I would be given any honor outside our state. When I received the email of my accomplishment, I realized that I was part of the recognitions that would not be happening at our International Career Development Conference (ICDC) then realized that my DECA students are my recognition. Our UVA chapter is the 2nd largest in our state and we had 3 qualify to compete at ICDC. I know next year our DECA members are going to make a bigger impact in our state. This recognition is because of my DECA members. I just pushed them as members.”
