The 2026-27 theme for University View Academy (UVA) is “growing every learner, achieving every goal, thriving every day,” reflective of Louisiana’s new accountability model. As such, UVA has worked to expand opportunities for our high school students to thrive, hosting the annual college and career fair on Thursday, October 1.
Excited conversation filled UVA’s conference center as students and families engaged with the 29 vendors set up throughout the day. The recruiting representatives included career options such as the Paul Mitchell School, the Baton Rouge Fire Department, and the U.S. Air and Space Force. Nineteen colleges and universities such as Louisiana State University, Louisiana Tech University, and Baton Rouge Community College were on site. Attendees could also meet with the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance to ask questions.
UVA is pleased to continue offering innovative ways to prepare our high schoolers for their futures. Be sure to bookmark our student calendar so you don’t miss out on what’s happening soon near you.
