University View Academy (UVA) faculty and staff traveled to the Randolph Riverfront Center in Alexandria on Friday, August 28, to meet students and families at UVA’s open house hosted each fall for students in north and central Louisiana. As a virtual school, UVA’s annual open house provides families a chance to meet their teachers and support staff in person while engaging with other students.
Families in attendance could take photos, enjoy a tasty snowball, stroll through the Scholastic Book Fair, and explore all the classes and programs that UVA offers. Rows of tables filled the venue as teachers, organized by grade level and each with a fun-filled theme, set up various games and activities for families to enjoy. Students could conduct mini science experiments, recommend favorite books to others, participate in a fitness challenge at the P.E. table, test their trivia knowledge at the Quiz Bowl table, and more.
UVA hosts two open house events each fall. Don’t miss the opportunity to attend the final 2026 open house in Gonzales on Friday, September 18.
