Ms. Williams has worked in education for over 20 years. Her passion for serving students increases each year, and she loves leading a group that brings student achievement to the forefront of education.
During her 15 years in the classroom, Ms. Williams taught fourth and fifth grade at various schools in both Louisiana and Texas. Ms. Williams strives to teach the importance of personal goal-setting and maintaining and modeling positive character traits. This instructional philosophy continued with her administrative role.
Ms. Williams has been a school administrator for the past eight years, serving as an assistant principal for elementary grades within the Central Community School System and a seventh grade assistant principal at Truitt Middle School in Houston, Texas.
Throughout Ms. Williams’ years as a school administrator, she has served as a professional mentor to educators, maintained the instructional leader role, and served on district leadership teams. One of her most honored accomplishments includes participation on the committee that reviewed, revised, and rewrote the current Louisiana State standards.
Ms. Williams holds a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Southern University and A&M College and a Master of Education in educational leadership from Louisiana State University.
Ms. Williams’ hobbies include attending sporting events, traveling, and shopping the sales racks. She is also passionate about creating new things with her Cricut serving as just one of her most prized possessions. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her mother. Her mother, a former classroom teacher with over 30 years of experience, serves as the foundation upon which Ms. Williams has built her career in education.
