A STRONG ACCREDITED CURRICULUM
University View Academy uses a combination of diverse and comprehensive courses that are accredited by AdvancEd and is a 2016-2017 accreditation candidate, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the NCAA. We serve students K-12 across the state of Louisiana and the school is headquartered in Baton Rouge.
All the teachers at University View Academy are certified/licensed professionals
The core curriculum is geared toward preparing students for college and beyond
Students may choose the Core 4 Diploma Curriculum (TOPS University) or Basic Core Curriculum (Jump Start) to insure college and workforce readiness upon graduation
In addition, University View Academy offers an accelerated three-year program where students take 8 classes per semester and attend summer school for two years and Dual Enrollment Classes at a college or online for college credit for both diploma pathways. The Dual Enrollment Courses also count toward eligibility for Louisiana TOPS (Taylor Opportunity Program for Students).
We also have a Freshman Academy to ease the transition by students from eighth grade to high school. There are A-P and Honors options for college credit and opportunities for students to get 5-point weighted grading for TOPS eligibility. Students must earn a 2.5 Grade Point Average on TOPS courses and a score of 20 on the ACT to qualify for TOPS.
